What Changed Me?
Falling in love is one of those experiences that people say changes you forever, but I never truly understood how much it would change my life until it happened to me. It was like one day I was just living my life, doing my thing, and the next, everything felt different—in the best way possible.
Healing Through Love
Before I fell in love, I didn’t even realize how much healing I needed. I had wounds and trauma that were so deep that they became part of my everyday life. We all have our fair share of scars—past heartbreaks, disappointments, and self-doubt—that we carry with us. But love, real love, has this magical way of healing what you didn’t even know was broken.
When I met the person I fell in love with (Jamal), I didn’t expect him to mend those wounds, by just by being himself, but guess what.. He did. He showed me that it was okay to be vulnerable, that I didn’t need to have everything figured out or always be “strong.” He accepted me for who I was, silliness and all.
Over time, I realized that I had started to heal in ways I never thought possible. I felt lighter, more at peace, and more secure in myself than ever.

Growth Like Never Before
Love also helped me grow in ways that I never imagined. There’s something about having a partner who believes in you that makes you believe in yourself even more. I began to push myself outside of my comfort zone because I knew he had my back, cheering me on no matter what. Whether it was taking on new challenges at work or exploring new hobbies, I started to embrace growth instead of shying away from it.
Being in love made me want to be the best version of myself, not just for my partner, but for myself.
I became more patient, more empathetic, and a lot more open-minded. Love teaches you that life isn’t about perfection, but about progress—and having someone to share that journey with makes it even sweeter.

Becoming a Better Person
Here’s the thing: falling in love has genuinely made me a better person.
It’s like love brought out parts of me I didn’t even know existed.
In the past, I had a tendency to be my own harshest critic, always feeling like I wasn’t doing enough or being enough. But my partner helped me see myself through their eyes, and that perspective shift was huge. It made me realize that I am enough, just as I am, and that made me want to show up as the best version of myself, every day.

The Fun, Unexpected Perks of Love
Let’s not forget the fun side of love—because, oh, it’s a wild ride! I’ve laughed harder in the last 2 years than I probably have in my entire life. My partner brings out this playful, carefree side of me that I had long forgotten existed. We have inside jokes, spontaneous adventures, and little rituals that make life feel a lot more joyful.
And the best part? Love has made the small moments feel extraordinary. Taking walks? Fun. Grocery shopping? A mini adventure. It’s like everything becomes an opportunity for connection and laughter when you’re in love. That’s one of the most beautiful gifts it has given me: the ability to find joy in the everyday.

A Love That Continues to Change Me
Falling in love didn’t just change my life in one sweeping moment—it continues to shape and evolve me every single day.
It’s not always easy, but the challenges we face together only deepen our bond and strengthen our connection. Love is like that; it grows with you. It encourages you to keep reaching for more, both as individuals and as a couple.
So, if I had to sum up how falling in love has changed my life, I’d say this: It healed me in ways I didn’t know I needed, pushed me to grow in ways I never expected, and brought me a level of joy I didn’t think was possible. And the best part? I’m just getting started. Love is a journey, and I’m so excited to see where it takes me next.
